MSH Quarterly Networking In-Person Event: May 2026

The first MSH Quarterly Networking Event brought together members, guests, friends, and family for an afternoon of open conversation, shared experiences, and genuine connection at The Victoria Hotel in Yarraville. No agenda, no presentations – just real people talking honestly about money, investing, and what they are actually doing to build wealth.
The conversation covered a wide range of topics, driven entirely by the people in the room. Highlights included:
- Investing Offshore vs Australia – the group compared both landscapes honestly, weighing higher potential returns in offshore markets against currency risk, political instability, and remote management challenges versus Australia’s regulatory stability and compressed but reliable returns.
- Retirement planning across two continents – a deeply personal thread for many in the room, covering how to structure superannuation in Australia while building assets back home, and the added complexity of potentially supporting family overseas.
- Property investing – Australia and Offshore – the group covered bank serviceability and lender differences in Australia, legal tax minimisation strategies for Offahore property, and practical frameworks for investing remotely with reduced risk.
- ETFs, money market funds, and crypto – members shared what they are actually using and how dollar cost averaging across all three asset classes has outperformed attempts to time the market.
- Farming Offshore – candid experiences from members who have invested in farming ventures, covering what has worked, what has not, and the importance of local presence and trusted relationships on the ground.
- Investment syndicates – strong interest from the group in pooled capital structures, with several members open to exploring opportunities together going forward.
The evening closed the way it started – with people talking, exchanging numbers, and making connections. That is the whole point.
