MSH AI Sessions: Doing AI Together, Not Just Learning It
A group figuring out AI together
There is no shortage of free AI content. YouTube alone has thousands of tutorials from people who know these tools far better than anyone in this room. If information was the problem, it would already be solved.
The problem is that almost nobody does anything with it. You watch something useful, you think that is clever, and then the week takes over and it never gets opened again. 76% of professionals feel stuck but take no structured action, and adding a powerful new tool to that changes nothing on its own.
So this is not a course and nobody here is the expert. It is a group of MSH members working through AI together, one topic at a time, using their own real work and their own real problems. Some people are using AI most days, some have barely opened it. Both are useful in the room.
- Members choose the topic – the running list came out of the first session and keeps growing. We cover what people are actually trying to do.
- Everyone comes prepared – a bit of homework beforehand so the room starts from a shared base, not a beginner’s explanation.
- We work through it live – sharing what works, troubleshooting what breaks, using real examples rather than demos.
- You leave with one action – small enough to be genuinely finished before the next session.
- We open the next session with the check-in – how did it go, what got in the way.
Who this is for
Anyone in MSH, at any level. The first session had people who use AI daily sitting alongside people who had barely touched it, and it worked, because the format is conversation rather than instruction.
What matters is not your starting point. It is whether you turn up with something real you want working, and whether you are willing to say out loud what you are going to do about it. If you want to sit back and be taught, there is better free content elsewhere. If you want a group that notices when you go quiet, this is the room.
The accountability is the point
AI without accountability is just another open tab. This is the part that makes these sessions different from everything else you could be watching instead.
- You name it. At the end of every session, everyone says the one thing they will have working before we meet again. Out loud, specific, and small enough that there is no wriggle room.
- It gets written down. Commitments go into the community thread so they exist somewhere other than your memory.
- The group sees it. Not to catch anyone out. Just so that the people around you know what you said, which changes the odds more than any tool does.
- We check in. Every session opens by going back through the last round. What worked, what did not, what got in the way.
Over time this compounds. One small thing a month, actually finished, is more than most people manage in a year of saving tutorials.
Whatever part of your life you want it in
This is not only a career thing. Members brought three areas to the first session and the list keeps growing:
- Work – prompting properly, cutting down heavy email loads, pulling what matters out of reports, building an assistant that works alongside you, CVs and applications, and the ethics of using AI at work.
- Personal life – automating admin and renewals, time management and routines, learning, health and exercise, validating output when you suspect it is wrong, tracking your finances, and preparing properly before you pay a professional.
- Investing – market and trend analysis, working through research reports, learning how to invest, spotting hidden overlap in a portfolio, and building a strategy.
The goal is real productivity in whatever area you care about, not a certificate. See the full topic list in the community and add anything that is missing.
